Hinchliffe Scissors is obtained by chance from the Mystery Tool Box, or with certainty from the Tailor's Pack.
Hinchliffe Scissors allow you to remove slotted Artifacts from clothing. In order to unslot Artifacts, you need to make sure the scissors are equipped and select Craft Rags. This will destroy the clothing.
Getting the Artifacts back is not guaranteed - the better the scissors Keen value, the greater the chance of a successful unslotting.

Hinchliffe Scissors can be carried in either a Journeyman Toolbelt, Novice Toolbelt, or the Master Toolbelt, additionally it can be stored in a Wooden Toolbox.
How to Slot Artifacts
Slotting is the process of taking an Artifact and attaching it to an item of Clothing.
1. Inspect your Artifact. Each Artifact has a Difficulty, Proficiencies, and Bonuses.
- Difficulty is how hard the Artifact is to Slot. The first number is the Max Difficulty and the second the Minimum Difficulty.
- The Max Difficulty can be lowered towards the Minimum if your characters Proficiencies are high in same ones listed on the Artifact.
- Bonuses are how each Artifact benefits you gain when you wear the clothing that Artifact is Slotted to.
2. Inspect your item of Clothing. Clothing has Slots as well as also having a Difficulty.
- The Higher the Thread & Needle of the pilgrim who made the clothing the lower its Difficulty. Teasel can also be used to lower this Difficulty.
- The number of Slots is the number of Artifacts which can be added to that Clothing. Some Artifacts like Decorative Lace, add additional Slots.
3. Select your Artifact from your inventory and right-click it on the item of Clothing you wish to Slot.
