Selecting certain Plant from your inventory and right-clicking them on to a  Hay Stack and allowing them to dry will produce  Hay. After 24 hours, when dry, right-clicking on a Haystack and selecting "Collect hay" will gather Hay. Equipping the Salem Store bought  Pitchfork will Collect Hay faster than by hand. When Collecting Hay, there is a chance to rarely receive a  Needle. A Hay Stack can be filled up to 40 points, when dry, you can Collect an equal number of Hay as fill points.
NOTE: If a Haystack appears to be empty, but cannot be lifted, then it most likely has a fractional fill point. Fill the Haystack to 40 full points, and then you can move it after removing the Hay.
