Right clicking brings up a 4x4 item menu and two meters. The first meter holds up to 100 liters of water, and the other holds 10 branches worth of fuel. When lit, the cauldron will drain 5 liters and 10 fuel (one branch worth).

You can boil something in it like mushrooms or other food that is need to be boiled.
