In-Game Text

And twelve valiant sons of the great-souled Trojans slew he with the bronze - and grim was the work he purposed in his heart and thereto he set the iron might of fire, to range at large.

-Homer, 850 BC

The only peace to be found in the Lumberwoods comes with death, and a secure, proper burial. Burial Rights instructs Pilgrims on the ritual of burying the remains of those no longer with us to keep their spirits and the spirits of their decendents safe and sound.

About

To bury dead charcater first, build a Coffin, then prepare the skeleton by placing it in the Coffin. Third, bury the Coffin to form a Tombstone.

Burying a dead characther allows you to pay respects to that character. The descendant of that character will receive a 10% jump towards a single proficiency of the ancestor every 24 hours when they pay respects. Respects are paid with flowers.

Warning other Witches or other players may destroy your Coffin or Tombstone to retrieve the skeleton.

Witches can now Desecrate bodies/skeletons. Desecrated bodies can never be prepared or buried and Coffins can be robbed by players with Grave Robbing For further protection consider building a Crypt.

Crypts can be entered and inside there is an object of which to place the body. Upon placing the body on this object it will behave identical to a tombstone. Crypts cannot be grave robbed, and instead a player must burn the crypt down first to gain access to the skeleton.
