About Popham Quills were handed out to the top 10 pilgrims on the Popham Best Sellers Leaderboard. Right-click a Popham Quill on a jar of Indigo Ink to make an Inked Popham Quill which can then be used for writing Books. Both a Popham Quill and Inked Popham Quill can be carried in a Tool Belt, stored in a Wooden Toolbox, or hung on a wall. Quills Quills can be used to write Books or equipped to Tickle pilgrims. Tickling With a Quill equipped and the French Tickler Skill learned, right-clicking on another pilgrim gives you the option to "Tickle". Tickling another pilgrim transfers your Insanity to them - lowering yours but raising theirs. The longer you Tickle the more Insanity you will transfer, however, any action that causes you to involuntarily stop Tickling, such as the pilgrim moving away, will cause you to gain a large amount of Insanity and may cause your Quill to break. Tickling is NOT a Crime! and therefore will NOT leave Evidence or Scents. WARNING! It is technically possible to Tickle a pilgrim past level 10 Madness so that the pilgrims permanently dies. Tickling another pilgrim to death adds a massive amount of Insanity. How To Write a Book Gather your Paper, Quill, and a bottle of Indigo Ink. Select your Quill and right-click on your Indigo Ink which will make an Inked Quill. Right-click your Inked Quill on a sheet of Paper. This will open a text box. Putting you Inked Quill back into your Inventory will cancel this action. Copy, paste or type up to 1000x characters into the text box. Hit enter to then transform your Paper it into Scribbled Paper. NOTE: Having a line break in your text will prevent you from transforming your Paper. Do this at least one more time - you need at least 2x sheets of Scribbled Paper. Put your Scribbled Paper in the order, along with Amber Coarse-Grain Thread, and 2x Leather into a Sewing Frame. Right-click your Sewing Frame and select "Bind Book" to create your Book. Right-click on your new Book to give it a title.
