AboutEquipping Any Shovel allows you to Dig most Biomes. A Better shovel will reduce both the time it takes to Dig and the Phlegm it costs.
Additionally, once the Flowers & Berries skill has been learned, with a Shovel equipped Dig can be used to uproot a Bush to allow it to be moved to another location. Currently the Woodworking Artifact Bonus works only to speed up the uprooting of Bushes. A Wooden Shovel can be carried in either a Journeyman Toolbelt, Novice Toolbelt, or the Master Toolbelt, additionally it can be stored in a Wooden Toolbox. NOTE: Whittling a Wooden Shovel on a Whittler's Bench removes a small amount of Insanity. WARNING! Using an Shovel with higher Madness levels runs the risk of it permanently becoming an unusable Questionably Effective Shovel.
