For those seeking speed and influence, alternating between Hay and Charcoal gives more speed and influence than using turkey droppings. The only benefit of Turkey Droppings is that it is a byproduct of Turkey Farming, so for players who are already raising turkeys for other purposes get turkey droppings for much less effort/time than charcoal or hay.
