As well as the standard terrain types, Salem is dotted with the occasional trail.
These are brown, muddy-looking streaks resembling roadways, are of varying length, and seem to be placed quite randomly.
After the release of the commercial beta, it was noted that animal spawns are much denser near trails, especially in forest biomes.
Digging over one yields only dirt.
