 Silk Runner Spiders are unique Creatures to the  Greenwood Biome. Silk Runners are generally passive unless provoked by attack, or, very rarely, when picking up an  Abandoned Cobweb a Silk Runner Spider will jump out and attack you.
NOTE: Silk Runners will sink if killed over Shallow Water.
Fighting
NOTE: Artifacts which add Blunt Power, Common Combat Power, Impact Power, and Piercing Power will help make certain Attack move more successful. Artifacts with Feral Defense will lower the Blood damage you take from an animal's attack.
When attacked a Silk Runner Spider can shoot up to 3 silk nets that ensnare their attacker.

A Silk Runner, once killed, can be picked up and stored in your Inventory as a  Dead Silk Runner. When picking up a Dead Silk Runner there is a chance to receive a  Bug in a Blanket. Right-clicking and selecting Release on a Bug in a Blanket will give you an  Abandoned Cobweb and a  Beetle, or a rarely a  Ladybug, or  Giant Willow Aphid.
A Dead Silk Runner is not Butchered like other Creatures but boiled. Boiling a Dead Silk Runner will yield:

Boiling
To Boil, place Fuel and Light your  Fireplace. Fill your  Clay Pot or  Copper Pot with  Potable Water and then place over your lit Fireplace. Click your Pot, select Open and put in the item you wish to Boil. When your item is done Boiling, its icon will change. This item needs about 30 minutes to Boil. Tuft of Spider Silk can be used as a  Fibre in recipes while the Spider Egg Sacs, when Slotted, add an additional Artifacts Slot. Older pilgrims may be interested in Buying this item from you.
