{{i|Gunpowder}} and {{i|Musket Balls}} are required to {{i|Shoot}} guns. Gunpowder can be purchased in the [[Providence]] [[Stalls]] in 50g batches for 15 {{i|Silver Pieces}}. Unlike other powders, Gunpowder cannot be stored in a [[Dry Goods Bag]], but instead 500g of Gunpowder can be stored in a {{i|Powder Horn}}, which can also be purchased in Providence for 500 Silver Pieces. Musket Balls are purchased in Providence at 10 Musket Balls for 70 Silver Pieces. Each shot takes 5g of Gunpowder and 1 Musket Ball making each shot cost about 8 Silver Pieces.
 
 
 
To Shoot a Gun it must first be equipped. Make sure you have learned the [[Firearms]] Skill and that both hands are empty and equip the gun in the Left-hand slot. First select {{i|Gunpowder}} from your inventory and right-click it on your now-equipped Gun. Repeat the process with your {{i|Musket Balls}}. Click the {{i|Shoot}} Attack and click the cursor in the direction you wish to Shoot, this will drain about 20% of your [[Black Bile]]. It will take moment for you to Aim the Gun and Shoot, using the {{i|At the Ready}} Action reduces this time. After a moment you will Shoot your Gun in the direction you chose, if the target has moved, you will miss, so aim well. Shots do not travel over solid objects. 
 
 
 
Shooting another Pilgrim does high [[Blood]] and will caused them to be {{i|Snared}}, which slows their movement speed for a great deal of time.

A Redcoat's Musket icon.png Redcoat's Musket is received by chance from the Mystery Weapon Chest icon.png Mystery Weapon Chest. When shot, a Redcoat's Musket will drain 20% of your Black Bile and deal damage equal to 35% of your opponents Blood. A Redcoat's Musket can be hung on a wall.

Shooting Firearms

With the Firearms Skill learned and a loaded Firearm type Weapon equipped, pilgrims can use the Shoot icon.png Shoot Combat Move. To load a Firearm, equipped any Firearm then select 5 grams of Gunpowder icon.png Gunpowder or a filled Powder Horn icon.png Powder Horn and right-click it on your Firearm. Repeat the process with your Musket Balls icon.png Musket Balls. To Shoot, click the Shoot Attack and then click the cursor in the direction you wish to Shoot. This will cause the action will channel as you aim your Firearm - using the At the Ready icon.png At the Ready Combat Maneuver reduces this channel time. Once the channel is complete your Firearm will Shoot in the direction you chose, however, if the target has moved, you will miss, so aim well. Shots do not travel over solid objects. Being shot with a Firearm does % Blood damage and causes to be temporarily Snared icon.png Snared for about 30 seconds. Each shot use 5x grams of Gunpowder and 1x Musket Ball. Shooting Creatures instead does a base amount of damage which is modified by chance. Shooting a Firearm will drain a percentage of your Black Bile. Damage from a Firearm is increased by your Common Combat Power Artifact Bonus and Common Combat Defense Artifacts will reduce the damage you take from a Firearm.
