Rabbits are an oddity in that when butchering them the pelt is automatically gathered and thus no skinning is required. The pelts can be sold in Boston for the same price as deer pelts.
Rabbits make an excellent source of meat and hides for weaker players.
They're easily killed (1-3 stomps) and tend not to fight back much.
WARNING: When you attack a rabbit there is a chance that it will turn into a dangerous March Hare depending on how close it is to darkness.
