Currently the {{i|Trumpet}} is the only instrument that will not alter biomes, however the [[Aeolian]] skill is also required for any of the [[Mystery Music Box]] instruments to change biomes. Without Aeolian the instrument can still be played but the biomes around will not change.

Playing an Instrument

With the Musician Skill learned, and a basic Instrument equipped, pilgrims may play Notes icon.png Notes at the cost of 1,000x points of Inspiration per Note. Playing Notes on an Instruments will reduce your Insanity. A Mystery Music Box Instrument is needed to change biomes or reduce the Insanity of those listening. Additionally listening Dances with Drums, Douglas, or Oswald's Music in Providence will lower your Insanity as well.

Making Music

With the Musician Skill learned, and any Instrument equipped, pilgrims may play Notes icon.png Notes at the cost of 1,000x points of Inspiration per Note to lower your Insanity. Playing Notes on a Mystery Music Box icon.png Mystery Music Box Instrument additionally will reduce the Insanity of nearby pilgrims as well, and with the Aeolian Skill learned, change the biome of a random tile around you to the that Instrument's biome type.
