Obtained from splitting a Woodblock or a Singing Old Log or randomly when chopping down trees, whittling.

Wood Choppings can be used as Tinder. The amount of Wood Choppings received when split varies from 1 to 3.
Only Fertilzer that reduces field upkeep. Most players use wood choppings on every field to maintain field upkeep at 50%.
Fertilizer Uses:
-- Without Three-Field System, Fertilizer 1 = First fertilizer to be used on field since seeds were planted; for each fertilizer you used on the field (regardless of which kind) add that to determine which fertilizer # your adding; Example: If you put (1) wood chip on the field, then used this fertilizer, you would get fertilizer 2 as the 2nd fertilizer used on the field.
The formula follows 10/sqrt(x), so:
Fertilizer 1: -10% Upkeep
Fertilizer 2: -7% Upkeep
Fertilizer 3: -5% Upkeep
Fertilizer 4: -5% Upkeep
Fertilizer 5: -4% Upkeep
Fertilizer 6: -4% Upkeep
Fertilizer 7: -3% Upkeep
Fertilizer 8: -3% Upkeep
Fertilizer 9: -3% Upkeep
Fertilizer 10: -3% Upkeep
TOTAL GAIN IN 10 USES: -50% Upkeep (Max)
