This article is about the alchemical properties of objects in game. For the forageable item used in crafting, see Coarse Salt.
The four alchemical elements that compose the world of Salem are Salt, Mercury, Sulphur and Lead. The in-game item tooltips represent Salt as red, but note that it is not associated with the blood humour.
These elements determine the Purity multiplier, which governs the effectiveness of items, namely of Foods and Inspirationals.
