Rabbits are an oddity in that when butchering them the pelt is automatically gathered and thus no skinning is required. (Not the case after the lest beta patch?)<br/>
The pelts can be sold in Boston for the same price as deer pelts.

Rabbits make an excellent source of meat and hides for weaker players.<br/>
They're easily killed (1-3 stomps) and tend not to fight back much.
