Witchcraft

Witchcraft is a skill introduced by the developers that allows players to craft or use magical items like a Witch's Broom. Practitioners of witchcraft are also planned to be able to cast curses and hexes. Currently, there is no known/proven way to acquire the witchcraft skill in Beta.

Pre-Alpha

As of the release of the Witchcraft Dev video (see below), witchcraft is larned by using a book of magic known as "on der Unaussprechlichen Kulten" (Of the Nameless Cults, a fictional book of arcane magic from universe of the horror writer, H.P. Lovecraft). Once read, the first Witch skill is learned, called Osculum Infame, or the infernal kiss. This skill allows players the craft option of "Curses, Hexes, and Simulacra", which lets them make the Animus, Shiver me timbers, and Witch's Broom.

The Dev video also revealed the ability for witches to hex other players, cursing the victim's tools to sap the humours of their owner in exchange for raising the witch's "Numen meter," with the term Numen meaning magic. Numen is then used in crafting items associated with the witchcraft skills.
