In-Game Text"Whereas the late King James the Second by the Assistance of diverse evill Councellors Judges and Ministers imployed by him did endeavour to subvert and extirpate the Protestant Religion and the Lawes and Liberties of this Kingdome ... the Subjects which are Protestants may have Arms for their Defence suitable to their Conditions and as allowed by Law." – Bill of Rights 1689 It is an ancient and established right of Englishmen to bear arms in defense of life, property, King and Country. Firearms allows you the means to exercise that right. FirearmsWith the Firearms skill learned and a loaded Gun equipped, generally to both hand slots, a pilgrim can use the Shoot combat move. To load a Gun, select your Gunpowder and right-click it on Gun. Repeat the process with your Musket Balls. To shoot, click the Shoot Attack and click the cursor in the direction you wish to shoot, this will drain about 20% of your Black Bile. The Shoot action will channel for a moment as you aim the Gun - using the At the Ready Action reduces this channel time. Once the channel is complete you fire your Gun in the direction you chose, however, if the target has moved, you will miss, so aim well. Shots do not travel over solid objects. Shooting another Pilgrim does high Blood damage and causes them to be Snared, which slows their movement speed for a great deal of time.
