About
Used to house Bees. The Bee Skep will take on the purity of the Hay used to build it.
A Bee Skep will pollinate near by Fruit Orchards and the skeps purity will affect the purity of in-range fruit trees. A full Bee Skep is a better pollinator than a full Butterfly Conservatory but a Butterfly Conservatory has a longer range.
Players may destroy a Bee Skep to obtain Honeycombs. A honeycomb may be drained to obtain Honey and Beeswax (you need to have a bucket in your inventory to collect the honey).
To start producing Honeycomb you must place a Queen Bee as well as about 6 Drone Bees into the Skep.
Maximum number of worker bees is 60000.
NOTE: Checking on the bees too often will annoy the bees and potentially lead to a colony collapse. To be safe it is recommended that you check the bee skeps only once a day or once every other day and remove any delphic bees, royal jelly and additional bee queens that have spawned.
