When you harvest a cotton field you will obtain several units of Raw Cotton in your inventory depending on your field's level of Plenty (see Farming). You may then process the Raw Cotton using the Crafting menu: Craft -> Processing & Materials -> Clean Cotton to separate each unit into 1 Raw Yellow-Stained Cotton and 2 units of seeds of Cotton.
