Type of *Reduce Properties
Do the type settings for the Reduce properties in the Food template need to be set to String. e.g. Property:BerriesReduce is of type page, and so is producing links in the box and on the Food page, rather than just the text. See Property:Difficulty for an example of a property that is a string.
