Phlegm is one of the four Humours, it is used for activities like crafting, the movement skills Forage and Wandering, and the Adventure option destroying.
In addition, your current Phlegm value determines how much damage you do when destroying objects. Since destroying drains your Phlegm you might come to a point where your Phlegm is so low that you can't overcome the Soak Value of an object, doing no damage at all.
