Talk:Baking

We are starting to get to the point where the unlock lists for some skills is getting out of hand. For instance, there are three wiki pages for the unlocked skill, Pie Crust: Pie Crust, Unrested Pie Crust, and Rested Pie Crust (the first could be handled by a redirect to the unrested pie crust and it's gamemenu template); however even with two pages per craft, the list is starting to grow huge. The issue is that, in addition to the list itself, these unlock lists are also the mechanism for showing the skill at the top of the individual pages, and, as such need to be complete.

One solution might be to add an invisible unlock list where we can dump the list entries that don't add anything to the Baking page. Another might be to keep the crafts unlocked list for the entries that are on the game menu and add a products unlocked list for any things that are created indirectly (like the varieties of flour).

I am not convinced either of these approaches will really work and would love to hear other peoples ideas on the subject. --Swordmage 18:05, 6 December 2012 (CST)
