 Mary's Ribbon is rarely received when Butchering a Lamb (baby  Sheep). The chance of receiving this item increases once you've learned the Viscera & Bits Skill. Mary's Ribbon, when slotted, adds an additional Artifact Slot. Older pilgrims may be interested in Buying this item from you. CAUTION: Killing Baby Domesticated Animals adds a good bit of Insanity.
Adding Slots to Clothing
There are a few Artifacts which can add more Slots to  Any Clothing. While these Artifacts are added the same way as other Artifact, when they are successfully slotted they will consume 1 Slot and add 2 more.
