In-Game Text

Those whom God wishes to destroy, he first makes angry.

– Euripides, 480 - 406 BC

Most of the time, there is no predicting chymical instability; and yet certain substances apply themselves thoroughly that we can easily expect a BOOM! Handheld Explosives harness the knowledge of this branch of destructive science, teaching the practice (or art) of blowing things up.

Boomsticks

Boomstick icon.png Boomsticks are generally used to blow stuff up, mainly Boulder icon.png Boulders. To blow up a Boulder, select your Boomstick and right-click it on a source of Fire icon.png Fire. This will turn your Boomstick into a Lit Boomstick icon.png Lit Boomstick. You must now quickly, select your Lit Boomstick and right-click it onto the Boulder you wish to blow up. Blowing up a Boulder will scatter it's Stones in a short radius around where the Boulder was. A Boomstick can also be used to blow up Shellback Shell icon.png Shellback Shells. To do this right-click the Lit Boomstick onto a Shellback Shell to receive 7x Shell Fragments icon.png Shell Fragments. If done while the Shellback Shell is in your Inventory you will receive a very minor Bleed icon.png Bleed.

WARNING! Letting a Lit Boomstick explode in your Inventory will do Blood damage to you!

Greek Fire

A House on Fire.

Certain Structures and most Buildings are difficult to Destroy icon.png Destroyed by normal means due to high Soak Values. With the Arson Skill learned, selecting Greek Fire icon.png Greek Fire and right-clicking it onto one of these structures will set it on Fire icon.png Fire. Once on Fire it will slowly take damage until it is fully Destroyed. Greek Fire does NOT need to be lit. At any point a structure on Fire can be doused by clicking a Vessel of Potable Water icon.png Potable Water on it. Using Greek Fire on land protected by a Claim will leave Evidence Vandalism.png Evidence of Waste.
