About Cougar are aggressive Creatures which can be hard to spot because they are half-transparent. Cougars initiate combat very fast and can easily stun lock unprepared pilgrims. Fighting NOTE: Artifacts which add Blunt Power, Common Combat Power, Impact Power, and Piercing Power will help make certain Attack move more successful. Artifacts with Feral Defense will lower the Blood damage you take from an animal's attack. A Cougar's basic attack stuns for 5 seconds and inflicts a Bleed, subsequent attacks adding Bleed stacks. It can be very dangerous to fight a Cougar in the open - its stun lands faster than many of your attacks and, due to the duration of the stun, can keep you stun-locked. It is better to stun a Cougar while you stand behind obstacles and when it becomes stunned, run in close and make a more powerful attack. Then retreat and repeat. Resources With the Hideworking skill, Skinning a Bear will yield: Raw Cougar Hide x 1 Note: It is important to Skin the Cougar before Butchering, otherwise you will ruin the Hide. With all relevant Butchering skills (Field Dressing, Butcher's Thrift, Butchery and Venison Cuisine), Butchering a Cougar will yield: Brain x 1 Raw Cougar Slab x 1 Raw Cougar Steak x 3 Raw Cougar Cut x 7 Meat Shreds x 10 Bone x 3 Random chance to get various rare items from butchering.
